I want us to look again at the last two verses from our last devotional, 1 Timothy 6:18-19,

I think it is beautiful the way verse 19 ends, ...that they may lay hold on eternal life. Paul is writing to believers here, and he is not saying they must do this so that they can get save…

"He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch."

Growing up in denominational Christianity, whnever anyone was baptized, it was said to them, “I now baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. Notice that this verse does not just declare there is treasure in the house of the righteous. It says there is much treasure in the house of the righteous.

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
