Have You Finished Building Your Ark Yet?

In these modern times, when you become a Disciple of the Word, people will make fun of you for being different. Because you do not follow what everyone else is doing, and what you do is “weird” to them, then like to mock and make fun of you for that. They mock and make fun of what they do not see nor do they understand. For the invisible YHVH, the creator and sustainer of everything is guiding you, so to them, it seems foolishness. How do you think Noah felt when YHVH told him to build the arc?… Continue

In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Growing up in denominational Christianity, whnever anyone was baptized, it was said to them, “I now baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. Thinking back, though, I sit and wonder why their name was not ever used. If we are, as Yeshua told us, to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, then why are we not doing so? Are we saying that we are baptizing a person by the authority of the One of whom we shall not say Their name, or are we suppose to… Continue

Blessed are the Peacemakers

Coming from a western culture - Texas - the peacemaker was a gun. However, this is not what Scripture was referring to. While we are to defend Scripture on attacks against It, that does not mean that we are to go around looking for fights. We are not called to be bullies, but rather are called to be the sons and daughters of hwhy (YHVH). (Matthew 5:9) Scripture warns us about the effects of biting and devouring each other. “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love… Continue

Avoiding Temptation

When you are aware that something or someone tempts you to do something sinful, you must make every effort to distance yourself from whatever or whomever it is that is tempting you. If a sinful thought comes into your head because of something or someone, you need to immediately remove yourself from that place or person. Do not hesitate, because the longer that you stay there in that position of allowing something or someone to tempt you, the more likely you are to give into that temptation. If… Continue

When you die, you may not go to heaven

Already, just by the title, I can tell that some of you have your blood a boiling. One of the things that I deal with everyday is that people justify what they believe and do on what someone else has told them that Scripture says. Now I have already debunked all of the man made teachings, but not everyone will listen. There are way too many who willfully tune me out and reject what I have taught simply because it is not convenient to their way of life. And they think that by quoting the teaching… Continue

Stepping Out On The Water

It is one thing for you to say that you have faith, but it is another thing entirely to actually step out of the boat that you have been drifting on the waters of life in and walk on that water. No one claims that this is an easy feat, but when you are called by the Savior to come to Him, you can not sit in the safety of the boat. The waters of life are full of peril and storms, but the Master of all creation controls these waters, and when He beckons you to follow Him, you have nothing to fear.… Continue

Halloween

This time of year causes a major rift in both Jews and Christians alike, for many hold that Halloween is a harmless holiday of getting dressed up and going in search of candy, while others view it as an occultic holiday. Now we have heard from many different sources the origins of Halloween, but I wish to take a slightly different look at the celebration, one you might never have looked at before. Now the very first place I wish to begin at is with words. Words are powerful. They can do a lot o… Continue

Living what you believe

There is absolutely no compliment better than when someone tells you that you definitely live what you believe. It is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Most people look for shortcuts so that they do not have to do everything that they believe. Just look at how they go about their jobs or obey the laws of the land or even their parents. Usually, people do just enough to get by while looking for shortcuts that allow them not to have to do more than that. But the question then is do you ac… Continue

Turn not to the Right or to the Left

Here is a simple question that requires only a simple yes or no to it. Is YHVH perfect? The answer tot hat question is yes. So then if He is perfect, then all of His ways are perfect, would you agree? So now, tell me, is there a man or woman alive that is perfect? Besides Yeshua, is there any other man or woman who either walked or is walking the face of this earth that was or is perfect? The answer to that question is no. And since no one other than Yeshua was/is perfect, then are any humans wa… Continue

Children of YHVH or Children of Belial

In a world where people look for so much “grey” areas, the fact that there are absolutes is something of a shock to most. The problem is that these people do not desire to have absolutes, for it is to the grey area that they cling. When told that there is only two paths, the unrighteous and the righteous, they do not accept because it would mean that they would have to give up so many of their pleasures and family and friends. They do not want an absolute standard because then they would have to… Continue

Battlefield Mind

“For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: bu… Continue

Let’s Start At The Very Beginning

This song from a musical is taught to children - and adults - all over the world. If you take singing lessons, you will undoubtedly run into this song, fo it teaches you the basics of singing. But the beginning I am referring to is the beginning of everything. Scripture begins this way: “In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) So tell me, if I start back at the beginning, what will I find? Also recorded in Scripture is another mention of the beginning. John talk… Continue

After the Funeral

When you attend a funeral, there is always the weeping and mourning from all those that are left behind. It is a sad time because someone that they were very fond of has died and moved on. There are the fond memories of the fun things that were done together, and how that the deceased made every one’s life better. And then there is the at the grave side, where everyone gathers to grieve one more time. But when your life as a sinner comes to an end, and you poor, tired, wretched body gives up it… Continue

Why do we struggle to show the world love?

Everywhere that you turn now days, someone somewhere is talking about love. You can read about it in books, magazines, and newspapers. It is all over the television, movies and radio. Songs are filled with the subject. The problem is that there is no distinction being made between the world’s love and the love of YHVH. Seriously, one of the reasons that the world is increasing in numbers daily is because they show their love where the members of the body of the Messiah struggle with explaining… Continue

Standing up for What is the Truth

As Yeshua said, “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John 4:35) There are so many that yearn for the Truth. People are needing Him, and there are so few that are willing to speak the Truth to them. They either are ignorant of the truth themselves, or they are afraid of what others will say to them if they do speak the Truth. For all those that seek the Truth, and also for those that are learning and growing in that Truth, I have great compassion f… Continue

Rightly Dividing The Word pt 5

Everyone starts out as spiritual infants, gleaning our nourishment from the milk of the Word of YHVH. But we are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Yeshua the Messiah. Included in this growth is knowing what Scripture means, and not letting others confuse us by not only changing the definition of words used in Scripture, but also by sneaking in unScriptural teachings and doctrines. I wish to go over a few things with you, to show you how easy it is to go from Scriptural to unScriptural, by si… Continue

Rightly Dividing The Word pt 4

So now we can easily see that when we can not Rightly Divide the Word of YHVH, than we come up with many problems and an inability to understand and comprehend Scripture. That means that we are then unable to perform the function, job, or task that has been assigned to us. The truth be told, though, it is more likely that we would not even know what our function, job, or task even is. You see, when we are blinded from the Truth because of false teachings and false doctrines, then we begin to ass… Continue

Rightly Dividing The Word pt 3

Rightly dividing the Word of YHVH means that you know what it pleasing and acceptable to Him and what is not. Believe it or not, I have had people actually say to me, “But as long as my heart is in the right place, if I sin, it is not really a sin.” In the list of your spiritual armor in Ephesians chapter 6, our sword is this very Word of YHVH. You have to know how to use that sword, because the enemy definitely knows how to use it. Just as HaSatan used Scripture in his attack on Yeshua. HaSata… Continue

Rightly Dividing The Word pt 2

The key to all of this is to look to see what has pleased YHVH and to not do what does not. I grew up saying almost as a Bible verse itself, “Speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent.” So where the Bible tells us something to do, we should do, and teach others to do as well. But where Scripture is silent, that is not an area where anything goes. If you do not find license in Scripture to do something, then do not do it. Silence on a subject does not make it a grey are… Continue

Have You Decided Who Your King Is?

Beginning tonight at sundown, the festival of Rosh Hashanah begins. In Leviticus 23:24, it is referred to as "The day of the blowing of the Shofar" or Yom Teruah. The full text says, "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 'Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first [day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work [therein]: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.… Continue
