Time to Obey

“And the LORD appointed a set time,” – Exodus 9:5

The old neighbors from across the street had moved, and new neighbors were moving in. I became apprehensive about these “new” neighbors when I saw how many people were going into the house. My apprehension grew when, the next morning, I saw six cars parked around their property.

Since I am a Christian, my first thought was that somehow I must let my light shine. Various ideas entered my mind as to how to approach the neighbors on the subject of salvation. My first impulse was to give them an invitation to camp meeting. I pushed that thought aside and decided to wait until closer to Midsummer-concert time and give them an invitation to that. But that still small voice said to me, “Give them an invitation now.” I tried to ignore it because I thought my way of thinking was much better. Yet, that urge to give them an invitation to camp meeting was strong.

One morning, while lying down because I did not feel well, I again heard that silent voice, “Give them an invitation.” I got out of bed and said to the Lord, “Okay, I’ll do it.” I went over to the house and gave the young man an invitation to camp meeting. In about ten minutes, I was amazed how well I felt. It seemed that the Lord caused me to feel sick so I would finally listen to His instructions.

I know it would have been better to obey sooner, but I am just glad I did not ignore the Lord as long as Balaam did. We read in Numbers 22 of how Balaam was determined to curse the Children of Israel even though he knew it was not the Lord’s will for him to do so. His determination to have his own way got him into deep trouble. The donkey he was riding suddenly stopped and would not go on. When Balaam got angry and hit the donkey, the Lord caused the donkey to started speaking. That certainly got his attention!

Could there be times when we, as Christians, may lose a blessing or miss an opportunity to be a witness because we do not obey that still small voice? The Lord is patient with us, but it is better to obey quickly than to wait until the Lord has to have a donkey speak to us! We want to obey right away and help bring about God’s perfect will.

Ayeeup. Very similar things have happened to me also. In fact, I recently experienced the consequences of failing to share this particular message with others, but I'm obeying the BOSS now. Christians would do well not to scorn that hedge of protection that GOD places around them...Christians would do well to be about the LORD's business...And Christians, first and foremost, must obey the perfect will of GOD. Yes, obedience is on the top of the list for all Christians who desire godly living and a closer walk with JESUS. Obedience is not optional. Holiness produces godly obedience. Ye shall know them by their fruits. How many are aware that obedience can be ungodly? Did our Lord obey satan? Remember: Obedience belongs to GOD. Who should we obey?

 

 

The scripture also tells us to obey the gospel. What is the gospel? The gospel is the GOOD NEWS. When a Christian obeys the GOOD NEWS they repent of their past deeds and they are baptized in the name of JESUS (Acts 2:38-39) and they receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost. In obedience to the gospel they have received the gospel and can share the gospel with others. Now this is beginning of the Christian walk. Remember, JESUS said: "No man can serve two masters"; so ultimately, we are to obey GOD ONLY. Now this would appear to put us all in a bit of a pickle... How is the Christian to obey them (plural) that have the "rule" over him (or her) when JESUS repeatedly stated that no man can serve two masters? Surely the words of JESUS take precedence over all other words, amen? The answer is clear: We obey others in the LORD, as unto the LORD. All that we think, say, and do must be done in the name of the LORD.

 

 

So. Can we steal in the name of the LORD, as ungodly politicians do? Or rob our families, our children, our brothers, our sisters, and our neighbours, in the name of the LORD? Can we commit adultery in the name of the LORD? Can we covet our neighbour's wealth, possessions, employees, or wife, in the name of the LORD? Can we commit murder in the name of the LORD? What about the murder of the unborn (abortion)? Can this be done in the name of the LORD? Can we worship or reverence other gods in the name of the LORD? Can we bring others under oppression and destroy their lives in the name of the LORD? Are we then granted permission of GOD to break His moral law and His Ten Commandments in the name of JESUS???

 

  

I THINK NOT.

 

 

Let me ask you, dear reader, if I may. Do you know JESUS? Do you believe that Barak Hussein Obama has the anointing of the Holy Ghost? Do you believe that Mr. Steven Harper is filled with the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues? Is there even ONE POLITICIAN in the world who knows the LORD? Woe unto you, lawyers! Said JESUS. Ungodly taxation we need not obey. Ungodly laws we need not obey. Ungodly pastors we need not obey. Liars, dogs, deceivers, false teachers, murderers, whore mongers, adulterers, fornicators, false-swearers and the wicked are NOT to be OBEYED. Obey GOD only. Has the church now become the mouthpiece of corrupt politicians who mock GOD, tax collectors, and vile magistrates? Do Christians stand with the servants of satan to declare that we should obey corruption and wickedness in high places because these ungodly leaders have the rule over GOD's people? As Christians, do we also serve satan in the name of the LORD? Are our church pulpits now become the platforms for lying politicians and our pastors the henchmen of corrupt celebrities who mock GOD?  

 

 

GOD FORBID.

 

 

This is what most pastors will not tell you; but GOD has told me to tell you the truth. Most pastors will tell you to obey the god of this world. Most pastors will tell you to obey the prince of the power of the air. Most pastors will tell you to obey the rulers of the darkness of this world and most pastors will try to trick you into believing that these have the rule over you because they cater to the ones they believe are in power, forgetting to Whom ALL POWER belongs; for there is no power indeed, but that which is the LORD's. Yea, they pander to perverse politicians and wicked lawmakers, not only taking pleasure in doing such things but also revelling in those who do them! I could list the names of a few so-called APOSTOLIC ONENESS people who have done this thing, but discretion is the better part of valour. GOD knows, and that is suffice. Wherefore your saints are whipped, beaten, and downtrodden and the blessings are witheld from your households because the saints are compromised and even corrupted. The pastors are gone awry and have signed false covenants with the god of this world! What fellowship hath light with darkness? What obedience can the enemy expect from the children of light? How then, do the saints of GOD stand with the GROVE WORSHIPERS to declare that they, the GROVE WOSHIPERS, have the rule over GOD's people? Brothers and sisters, read your Bibles carefully. We obey powers that are from on high. We do not obey the rulers of the darkness of this world. We obey GOD in ALL THINGS.
